Louis W. Bray Construction Limited has been contracted by the Ministry of Transportation to carry out a year-long rehabilitation project on Highway 401 at the County Road 32 underpass.
Work will include concrete repairs to the underside of the structure, removal and replacement of the steel beam guide rails and a breakaway sign on Hwy. 401, as well as asphalt replacement on the bridge deck. Construction is expected to be completed by November 14, 2025.
Until September 30, 2025, nightly ramp closures (7 p.m. to 6 a.m.) will affect both the eastbound and westbound on-ramps (NS-E and NS-W), though never at the same time. During closures, Hwy. 401 will be reduced to one lane in the direction affected. Off-ramps will remain open.
Additionally, daily lane closures on County Road 32 will occur from October 1 to 31 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. to complete asphalt resurfacing. One lane of traffic will remain open at all times, and signage will be posted in advance.
