As extreme heat continues across the region, the Leeds and the Thousand Islands Public Library is welcoming residents to use its branches as cooling spaces. All library locations—Lansdowne, Lyndhurst, and Seeley’s Bay—are open during regular hours, offering cool air and power to help the public stay safe and comfortable.
Lansdowne is open Monday to Friday with extended hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and Saturday mornings. Lyndhurst offers service on Monday, Wednesday, Friday afternoon, and Saturday morning. Seeley’s Bay is open Tuesday, Thursday, Friday morning, and Saturday afternoon.
Residents are encouraged to visit their local branch to cool off, charge devices, or simply relax. Everyone is welcome, and staff are available to assist. For detailed hours, check the library’s website or posted schedules.
