The Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands advises residents and visitors that the swings at Jerry Park have been temporarily cordoned off for safety reasons. A nearby tree has been assessed and deemed unsafe, prompting the closure of the swing area to protect park users.
The unsafe tree is scheduled to be removed on August 5, 2025. Until then, residents are asked to avoid the swing area to prevent any accidents or injuries.
The Township thanks the public for their understanding and cooperation during this temporary disruption. Regular park access remains available, and updates will be provided as the tree removal date approaches.
For more information, please visit the Township’s website or contact municipal offices. Safety remains the top priority for the community’s enjoyment of public spaces.
