The United Counties of Leeds & Grenville are hosting Hazardous Waste Days throughout 2025 to help residents safely dispose of household hazardous waste.
One key date is Saturday, August 16, when residents can drop off their hazardous materials from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Leeds County Patrol Garage, located at 2714 Outlet Road (County Road 3) in North Lansdowne.
This convenient location offers a safe and responsible way for local residents to get rid of items such as paint, chemicals, batteries, and other hazardous products that shouldn’t be thrown in regular trash.
Proper disposal helps protect the environment and public health by preventing harmful substances from entering landfills or water systems.
In addition to Lansdowne, drop-off sites on August 16 include the Delta Fair Grounds.
Other Hazardous Waste Days for 2025 will be held on July 5 in Lombardy and October 11 in Spencerville and North Grenville.
