It was another successful outing and a big day for the Gananoque Food Bank and the Gananoque Canadian Tire and myFM All Hands on Deck Food Drive. Staff from 99.9 myFM were on hand at Canadian Tire and Baldree’s No Frills locations on King Street from 10am until 4pm on Thursday.
With support from the community, $1,370.90 in cash donations were taken in along with 1569 pounds of non-perishable food donations.
Gan Chev and Full Service Property Maintenance provided vehicles to bring the donations to the Gan Food Bank, City Cruises provided a handy shopping list for donors for the day. A unique way to collect donations was used as GLAD Plumbing and Heating provided a sink and Running’s Auto Service donated a tire for cash donations at No Frills.
A major thanks to power hour sponsors Cardinal Health and Fox Run by The River, along with broadcast sponsors, Keys Employment Centre, Upper Canada District School Board, Clark’s Bus & Marina, Easton Auto Sales, Kingston Lighting, Appliance Mechanics HVAC, Modern Home Creations, Pam’s CreativeCreations & Thrift – Seeley’s Bay, Fishinitis – Seeley’s Bay, IG Wealth Management, Robeson’s Country General Store, Riva Restaurant, Becker Shoes, Senior Transitions, Woodley’s Jewellers, Cedar Jefferies Roofing, Thousand Islands Pool & Spa Supplies, Moulton Tree Service.
We at 99.9 myFM thank the community for their generous contributions on the day, contributions which the shelves at the Gananoque Food Bank packed to capacity once again.
