Music lovers are invited to Joel Stone Park in Gananoque this weekend for two evenings of free, family-friendly entertainment along the waterfront. The Waterfront Concert Series continues August 22 and 23 at 7:30 p.m., featuring performances by the Colin Slack Band and The Garvin Brothers.
On Friday, August 22, Gananoque native Colin Slack takes the stage with his band, performing a mix of acoustic country and folk. Influenced by Neil Young, Bruce Cockburn, and James Taylor, Slack is known for his intricate finger picking and storytelling lyrics. Fans can also expect to hear selections from his latest album, UnShakeable Hope, which will be available for purchase.
Saturday, August 23, brings Kingston’s Garvin Brothers to the waterfront. The rock band, inspired by acts like The Black Crowes and The Glorious Sons, has already shared stages with The Glorious Sons and Wide Mouth Mason and recently recorded at The Tragically Hip’s Bathhouse studio.
The Gananoque Food Bank will be onsite collecting donations, while the Gananoque Skating Club hosts a cash-only 50/50 raffle.
