Brockville Police arrested a 31-year-old woman following a break and enter at MIE Autobody and Collision in the early morning hours of September 1st.
Police were called around 12:45 a.m. after the business owner reported a break-in and believed the suspect was still inside. Earlier, an alarm call at the business had been dismissed as a possible system issue. When officers arrived, they located the woman inside and took her into custody.
The investigation revealed the suspect had forced her way in and damaged the alarm panel. Police also found she was on probation and in possession of five sets of vehicle keys belonging to customers, identity documents not in her name, and a number of inactive gift cards.
She now faces several charges, including break and enter to commit an indictable offence, mischief under $5,000, possession of identity documents, and failing to comply with probation.
