Brockville police say a routine traffic stop has led to serious drug charges.
On September 6, 2025, at about 2:30 p.m., officers pulled over a vehicle on Centre Street.
The driver was identified as a 39-year-old man who was operating the vehicle with a suspended licence.
Police say he was removed from the car and placed under arrest.
A search after the arrest uncovered methamphetamine, a cutting agent, Canadian currency and multiple cell phones.
As a result, the man has been charged with possession of crystal methamphetamine for the purposes of trafficking, driving while under suspension and being a G1 licence holder operating without a qualified driver.
The accused was later released with a future court date.
Police say the investigation highlights the risks officers encounter during routine traffic enforcement and the ongoing fight against illegal drug activity in the region.
