The Town of Gananoque will conduct fall brush, leaf, and yard waste collection from October 27 to November 7, 2025. Residents are reminded of new user-pay guidelines for leaf and yard waste curbside collection, designed to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Leaf and yard waste must be bagged in paper bags only and have a valid $2.50 Town garbage tag attached. Tags are available at Town Hall, White’s Grocery, Metro, and Home Hardware. Bags must be placed neatly at the curb within the collection period, not exceeding 40 lbs, and must not impede traffic. Alternatively, residents may drop off properly bagged waste at the Public Works Yard, open Wednesdays and Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 12 noon, free of charge.
Brush curbside collection is provided at no cost, with branches neatly piled, ends aligned, and diameters no larger than 10 inches. Branches may be placed at the curb the weekend prior to collection.
