The Township of Leeds and Thousand Islands Council will meet on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 6 p.m. in Lansdowne Council Chambers. Key items on the agenda include public consultation on multiple telecommunication tower applications and the appointment of a new councillor for Ward 3.
Council will review six proposed tower sites submitted by Kingston Online Services, including locations on Outlet Road, Gananoque Lake Road, Marble Rock Road, Briar Hill Road, Quabbin Road, and Fitzsimmons Road. Staff will be directed to submit letters of concurrence confirming compliance with the Township’s consultation protocol, with a stipulation that towers be removed if no longer required.
In addition, Council will conduct interviews for the Ward 3 council vacancy. Candidates who have submitted written consent and meet eligibility requirements will be considered for appointment for the remainder of the current term. Following interviews and voting, Council will appoint a new representative and proceed with first and second readings of the associated by-law.
Residents are encouraged to attend in person or register for the webinar to participate in discussions on these important local developments.
