The Leeds 1000 Islands Fire Service recently held training sessions to keep crews prepared for a variety of emergency situations.
On Tuesday night, firefighters participated in drills covering maydays, breathing apparatus use, and hose line stretches, while some crew members completed their yearly Basic Life Support (BLS) recertification.
Over the past weekend, additional scenarios were set up to sharpen auto extrication skills, ensuring crews remain proficient in safely removing victims from vehicles following collisions.
Fire officials say ongoing training and practice are essential to maintaining readiness and protecting the community effectively.
