The 2025 Town of Gananoque Festival of Lights officially begins this Friday, November 28, with the Town Hall tree lighting and the opening of Candy Cane Lane at 6:00 PM in Town Hall Park (30 King Street East).
This free community event invites visitors to enjoy twinkling lights, meet the Snowflake Princess, hear the Community Choir featuring Linklater School students, and enjoy free hot chocolate and candy canes.
Attendees can also take photos with seasonal displays and enjoy readings from the Town Poet Laureate and proclamations from the Town Crier. Donations for the Gananoque & Area Food Bank will be gratefully accepted.
The Festival of Lights continues throughout December with highlights including the Gananoque Santa Claus Parade, free public skating, ornament painting, and the Winter Lights Competition.
The celebration wraps up on December 17 with the annual Holiday Ice Show at the Lou Jeffries Arena, promising festive fun for the whole family.
