The Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands Committee of the Whole meeting is set forMonday, December 1 at 6 p.m. in the Lansdowne Council Chambers, with online registration available for those wishing to attend virtually. Accessible formats and communication supports are available upon request.
Delegations include Martha and Jack Harvey, who will speak about pickleball at Jonas Street Park and upgrades at Kendricks Park. Council will also receive a briefing from David Ellingwood of Cataraqui Conservation regarding the organization’s proposed 2026 budget.
A public meeting will be held for a zoning by-law amendment application for 7 Bulls Island, followed by staff reports recommending approval of zoning amendments for both 7 Bulls Island and 439 Thousand Islands Parkway. Council will also review the proposed 2026 Council, Committee and Conference Schedule and discuss plans for the 2026 municipal election, including voting equipment and alternative voting methods.
Additional items include changes to the Circular Materials Ontario depot agreement and a report from the Recreation Working Group. The meeting will conclude with updates, announcements, and adjournment.
