Ontario is launching an expert advisory body to review student assessment after new EQAO results showed limited improvement for students in Grades 3, 6, and 9.
Education Minister Paul Calandra says the findings highlight the need for stronger action, noting ongoing concerns with math achievement and long-standing gaps across student groups.
The two-member panel will examine curriculum clarity, teacher support, EQAO fairness, and whether students have the tools they need to succeed.
A final report with recommendations will be made public and used to guide changes to improve student outcomes.
