A U.S. driver is facing impaired driving charges after failing to stop at the Canada–U.S. border near Lansdowne on Monday afternoon.
Shortly after 3:30 p.m. on December 8, 2025, the Ontario Provincial Police were called to assist Canada Border Services Agency officers after a vehicle did not stop as required at the border crossing. CBSA officers suspected the driver was impaired and requested support from a Leeds OPP Drug Recognition Expert.
Following the investigation, 27-year-old Danielle Langager of Ohio was charged with operating a vehicle while impaired by alcohol and drugs under the Criminal Code. CBSA continues to conduct a parallel investigation.
Langager was held in custody and will appear in Brockville court at a later date. The OPP reminds the public to report dangerous driving by calling 1-888-310-1122.
