Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health is urging residents to take precautions as respiratory virus season intensifies heading into the holidays.
Dr. Kieran Moore says flu cases are rising while COVID-19 and RSV activity remain low, emphasizing that vaccines remain the strongest protection against severe illness.
Flu, COVID-19, and RSV immunizations are available across the province, particularly for high-risk groups such as young children, seniors, and pregnant individuals.
He also encourages simple preventive steps like handwashing, staying home when sick, and cleaning shared surfaces to reduce transmission.
