The Township of Leeds and Thousand Islands will hold its next Council meeting on Monday, February 9, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. in the Lansdowne Council Chambers. Residents can register in advance to attend the meeting online via webinar.
The agenda includes a Closed Session to review minutes, discuss personal matters concerning municipal employees, and potential litigation, including matters before the Ontario Land Tribunal. Following the closed session, Council will report out and move into a Public Meeting to review telecommunication tower applications at 469 Lower Oak Leaf Road and 1802 Outlet Road, as well as zoning and Official Plan amendment requests.
Other items include consideration of municipal grants, playground and surface treatment contracts, fire service purchases, and agreements with Leeds Grenville EMS and Front of Yonge Township. Council will also review the OMERS pension governance changes and discuss requests for increased fire service funding for MTO-controlled highways.
