Angelique Cardinal’s journey from growing up in Ottawa to becoming a well-known volunteer in the Town of Gananoque is rooted in her passion for community involvement. Since moving to Gananoque, Cardinal has quickly made her mark through her dedication with the Gananoque Lions Club, where she has risen through the ranks shortly after becoming a member.
Cardinal says volunteering has allowed her to connect with people and feel truly at home in the community. She describes her experience with the Lions Club as “absolutely” fun, highlighting the strong sense of teamwork and shared purpose among members.
Her involvement with the club began through her love of classic cars, which helped introduce her to local events and volunteer opportunities throughout the region. Beyond Gananoque, Cardinal has volunteered at numerous events across Eastern Ontario, always eager to lend a helping hand.
Her message to others is simple: get involved. Cardinal encourages residents to step forward and discover the rewarding experience that volunteering can bring, both personally and to the community as a whole.
