Rob Bickerton of Gananoque has spent much of his life advocating for the care and well-being of animals in the community. A native of the town, Bickerton has been a passionate supporter of the local Humane Society, recognizing the tireless work volunteers do to ensure stray and abandoned animals are safe, healthy, and well looked after.
Bickerton emphasizes that volunteering doesn’t always mean attending formal events. Even small acts, like putting out a dish of food for a stray cat or dog, can make a meaningful difference. He believes that many animals in the community are often overlooked, and he is grateful to the volunteers who go the extra mile to provide care and compassion for them.
Through his advocacy, Bickerton hopes to inspire others to support animal welfare in any way they can. He encourages residents to get involved, reminding everyone that even simple gestures can have a lasting impact on the lives of local animals.
