Council for the Town of Gananoque will tackle key financial decisions during its regular meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 18 at 5 p.m. in Town Hall. The agenda includes deliberations on the 2026 Operating Budget and the 2026–2035 Capital Budget, as well as the 2026 Water and Wastewater Operating and Capital Budget and Rates.
Treasurer John Morrison will present multiple financial reports, including the municipality’s 2024 Financial Profile. Council will also consider a motion to reconsider support for a nomination by the Township of Edwardsburgh-Cardinal to the Kraft Hockeyville competition for the Spencerville Arena.
Additional items include a proposal to install a pedestrian crossover at Stone Street North and North Street, and discussion on physician recruitment and experiential locum policies.
The meeting will be held in person with options for teleconference and video participation. A public meeting on a proposed development permit amendment for 580 King Street East is scheduled for March 4.
