The Gananoque Police Service is set to brave the icy waters of the St. Lawrence River for the 2026 Special Olympics Ontario Polar Plunge. Scheduled for Sunday, March 15 at 1:00 p.m., the event will see Gananoque Police, local emergency services, and community partners take part in the annual fundraiser.
The plunge raises funds to support and empower Special Olympic athletes across Ontario. The Gananoque Police Service is calling on community members to contribute, noting that every donation, no matter the size, goes directly to Special Olympics programs.
Community members can register or donate online through the official Polar Plunge link. Participants and supporters alike are encouraged to join in the spirit of fun and fundraising for this inspiring cause.
