Gananoque Intermediate and Secondary School is celebrating a successful season for both its Senior and Junior Boys’ Basketball teams. The Senior squad capped off the year with a strong quarterfinal finish, demonstrating leadership and pride while representing the school throughout the season.
Meanwhile, the Junior Boys delivered an unforgettable semifinal performance against St. Mary’s, narrowly falling 48–47 in a hard-fought contest. Despite the heartbreaking loss, the team’s intensity, determination, and growth over the course of the season stood out. Coaches and supporters noted significant improvement from the opening game to the final buzzer of the playoffs.
School officials say both teams showcased hard work, sportsmanship, and school spirit all season long. With a solid foundation in place, the future looks bright for GISS basketball as players continue to build on this year’s success.
