Members of the Gananoque Fire Service recently completed a push-up challenge to raise funds and awareness for those affected by mental health challenges. The initiative highlights the importance of mental wellness and the firefighters’ commitment to supporting both their colleagues and the broader community.
During training, some firefighters completed part of their daily push-up quota in full gear, demonstrating both physical endurance and dedication to the cause. The effort was captured on video and is available for viewing on the Gananoque Fire Service Facebook page, offering the community a glimpse of their commitment in action.
Fire officials emphasize that mental health affects people from all walks of life, and initiatives like this help spark conversation, reduce stigma, and provide support to those in need. The service remains committed to championing mental health awareness through events, training, and community engagement.
