Emergency crews from the Gananoque Fire Service responded to a structure fire on Second Street in Gananoque Tuesday evening, between Victoria Avenue and Elm Street. Firefighters quickly arrived on scene and worked to contain the blaze, ensuring that surrounding properties were protected.
Police closed a section of Second Street to allow emergency personnel to operate safely, urging residents and motorists to avoid the area. Nearby residents were also advised to stay clear of the scene, as emergency vehicle activity was heightened throughout the response.
The cause of the fire has not yet been released, and there were no immediate reports of injuries. Crews completed overhaul and safety checks, and the scene was cleared later that night. Authorities thanked the public for their patience and cooperation while the fire service and police worked efficiently to manage the emergency.
