The Ontario Provincial Police has arrested a 31-year-old individual following an investigation by the East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU). The investigation, which began in February 2026, targeted a person who was the subject of an outstanding arrest warrant.
On Tuesday, March 3, 2026, CSCU, assisted by the Leeds and Grenville County Detachments, the East Region Emergency Response Team, and the Canine Unit, located and arrested the individual without incident. Officers seized over 13 grams of suspected cocaine, more than five grams of suspected ecstasy, over $500 in Canadian and U.S. currency, and a cellphone.
The accused, Alexander Ubdegrove, faces multiple charges, including three counts of operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code, two counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and failure to comply with a probation order. He remains in custody and is scheduled for a bail hearing today in Brockville.
