The Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands Council will meet on Monday, March 9, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in Lansdowne Council Chambers to discuss several important community topics.
Agenda highlights include a motion regarding the proposed Alto High-Speed Rail, with council expected to review potential impacts on agricultural lands, environmentally sensitive areas, and the UNESCO-designated Frontenac Arch Biosphere. Council will also follow up on the Lyndhurst Turkey Fair, addressing public space use, road closures, barriers, by-law and police support, and permit enforcement.
Additionally, the meeting will include the presentation of the Ontario Clean Water Agency’s 2025 Annual Report for the Lansdowne Drinking Water System, ensuring the community remains informed about local water services and safety.
