Gananoque Police, EMS and members of the community were Freezin For a Reason this past Sunday afternoon for the annual Polar Plunge in support of Special Olympics Ontario. Gananoque Police Sergeant Lynsay Dickson was happy for a great turn out.
Dickson had high praise for all participants.
Dickson says this is an annual tradition they always look forward to.
Many residents and supporters were on hand at the Thousand Islands Boat Museum docks to cheer on over 25 jumpers on a bitter cold day near the St. Lawrence River. For pics and videos from the cold day, head to our Facebook page.
