Gananoque Police officers on patrol conducted a traffic stop on March 27th, that led to the arrest of two individuals from Kingston. The driver initially provided a fraudulent driver’s license and false name. Officers quickly identified both the driver and passenger and placed them under arrest.
A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered drugs and drug paraphernalia. As a result, a 53-year-old Kingston resident was charged with obstructing a peace officer, using and acting on a forged document, and possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking. A 43-year-old Kingston resident was also charged with possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking. Both individuals were released on an undertaking with conditions while the investigation continues.
