Gananoque Police have arrested a 43-year-old resident of Caledonia in connection with a June 1, 2025 assault. The incident occurred when the individual attended a Gananoque residence, became irate, and struck the homeowner multiple times before fleeing the scene.
Following the assault, police issued an arrest warrant. On February 25, 2026, the suspect was located and arrested by Niagara Regional Police Service. They were subsequently released on an undertaking with conditions, and are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
Gananoque Police emphasized the importance of community reporting and inter-agency cooperation in apprehending suspects. The arrest highlights ongoing efforts to ensure public safety and hold individuals accountable for violent actions within the community.
