Half-load weight restrictions remain in place on Township roads after taking effect on March 2, 2026, due to fluctuating spring temperatures.
Officials say the restrictions are necessary to help protect roadways during the freeze-thaw cycle, when roads are more vulnerable to damage. Limiting heavy vehicle loads helps preserve the Township’s infrastructure and reduce costly repairs.
While restrictions typically remain until May 15, the Township notes they could be lifted earlier depending on weather conditions and how quickly roads stabilize this spring.
Drivers and commercial operators are encouraged to stay informed by checking the Township’s website and social media channels for updates on when the half-load restrictions will be removed.
