A new grassroots racing initiative is gaining momentum just north of Gananoque, as Gan RC Raceway looks to bring together hobbyists and newcomers alike this summer.
Located just minutes north of Highway 401 on Highway 32, the track is launching a full season of events designed to grow a local RC racing community. Organizers say many participants may already have a suitable RC vehicle, making it easy to get involved without additional cost.
Weekly Thursday night racing begins May 7, featuring dirt oval competition across multiple classes in a relaxed but competitive setting. In June, the raceway will also introduce Saturday trophy races every other weekend, offering more structured events and prizes.
Participants can expect organized race nights, lap timing, and a welcoming environment. Organizers encourage interested residents to join the group’s Facebook page for updates, race details, and information on how to get started.
