Two youths have been charged in Leeds County following an investigation into the possession and distribution of child sexual abuse and exploitation material.
On March 31, 2026, the Leeds County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police began an investigation after school administration reported the circulation of intimate images involving a young person.
As a result, two female youths were charged with possession and distribution of child sexual abuse and exploitation material, as well as distributing intimate images without consent.
They were released from custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville at a later date.
In recent weeks, five other youths in Leeds County have faced similar charges, prompting renewed education efforts from police in local schools.
OPP officers are also planning school presentations to educate students and parents on the risks and consequences of sharing intimate images.
Anyone with information should contact police.
