The Gananoque Police Service has officially joined the Ontario Provincial Police Provincial Bail Compliance Dashboard, a tool designed to enhance monitoring of individuals released on bail.
The dashboard provides officers with real-time, cross-jurisdictional information on high-risk offenders, including those facing firearms-related and violent charges. It allows police to better track bail conditions and respond more effectively to potential violations in the community.
Managed by the OPP, the system improves communication and information sharing between police services across Ontario, strengthening public safety efforts.
Officials say the addition of Gananoque Police to the platform will help frontline officers make more informed decisions and proactively address risks associated with individuals on bail.
The dashboard is available to police services province-wide as part of a broader effort to improve bail compliance and community safety.
