Hydrant flushing will take place in Lansdowne beginning April 21 and continuing through May 5, 2026, as part of routine maintenance by the Ontario Clean Water Agency.
Officials say the work is necessary to maintain water quality and ensure the proper operation of the distribution system. During this time, residents may notice temporary water discolouration in their homes and for a short period afterward.
The agency notes that the discolouration is not harmful to health and is a common occurrence following flushing activities. Residents who experience this are advised to run their tap water until it clears.
The Ontario Clean Water Agency says the maintenance program is part of ongoing efforts to ensure safe and reliable drinking water service in the community.
