The Town of Gananoque Council will meet on April 22 at 5 p.m. at Town Hall to address several key items on its agenda.
Among unfinished business, Council will revisit maintenance and renovation plans for 110 Kate Street and consider awarding a contract for a backhoe loader replacement. Council will also review Ontario Bill 98, which focuses on housing and transportation infrastructure, and discuss the municipality’s 2026 funding allotment from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.
New staff reports include proposed amendments to the physician recruitment policy and an update on a rural economic development project aimed at business retention and expansion.
Council is also expected to consider awarding a contract related to the Black Snapper Bridge.
Public correspondence includes topics such as animal control bylaws, public health updates, and local long-term care developments.
A closed session is scheduled to discuss negotiations and personal matters before the meeting concludes.
