The Township of Leeds and Thousand Islands is asking residents to avoid using new playground equipment at Jerry Park as work continues this spring.
Officials say while warmer weather has many eager to return outdoors, the playground area is not yet complete or safety-tested. Construction crews will be on site over the coming weeks finishing the installation and completing additional upgrades.
The project also includes the addition of an accessible pathway to improve access throughout the park.
Residents are being reminded to respect all safety fencing and stay clear of designated work zones while construction is underway.
The Township says updates will be shared as progress continues and a timeline for the park’s full opening becomes available, thanking the public for their patience as improvements move forward.
