The Town of Gananoque has announced a temporary closure of the Gord Brown Memorial Canada 150 Outdoor Rink due to significant damage.
Officials say the rink boards have sustained extensive damage, requiring repairs and replacement parts before the facility can safely reopen. The closure is expected to remain in place until late May 2026 while staff work to complete the necessary maintenance.
The Town says crews will be working diligently to restore the rink and ensure it is safe for public use once repairs are finished.
Residents are being asked for patience during the closure, with updates on reopening timelines and schedules to be shared through the Town’s website and social media channels.
Officials note the repairs are essential to maintaining safe play conditions and preventing further damage to the facility moving forward.
