The United Counties of Leeds and Grenville is calling for applicants to serve on a joint compliance audit committee ahead of the 2026 municipal elections.
The committee is required under the Municipal Elections Act, 1996 and reviews requests for audits of campaign finances. It can also appoint auditors and decide whether legal action is needed.
Participating municipalities include Brockville, Gananoque and North Grenville, among others.
Officials say preferred candidates have experience in law, accounting, auditing or public administration, along with knowledge of campaign finance rules.
The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, with members expected to attend meetings during the day and evening over a four-year term starting in late 2026.
The next municipal election across Ontario is scheduled for Oct. 26.
Applications are due by 4 p.m. on June 5.
