Brockville Police have arrested a 17-year-old youth following the suspicious deaths of three individuals at a residence on Cartier Court.
Police say officers responded to a 911 call shortly after 11:30 a.m. on May 7 and discovered three deceased individuals inside the home. Investigators determined the deaths were suspicious in nature.
Following the initial response, officers received additional information that led them to a second location on the outskirts of Brockville. A 17-year-old Brockville resident was taken into custody and charged with three counts of first-degree murder as well as assaulting a police officer.
Investigators say the accused and victims were known to one another and confirmed the incident was not random.
The accused is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing on May 8. Under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, the identity of the accused cannot be released.
Police describe the investigation as sensitive and complex and are asking anyone with information to contact Brockville Police or Crime Stoppers.
