Residents across Leeds and Grenville now have extra time to nominate individuals, businesses, and organizations making a positive difference in the lives of local children and youth.
The Every Kid in our Communities Coalition and the Lanark County Child and Youth Services Collaborative have extended the nomination deadline for their annual Asset Builder recognition program to May 22.
The program celebrates community members who support, mentor, inspire, and advocate for children and youth across the region. Organizers are encouraging nominations for people and groups who help young people feel valued, introduce them to new experiences, and provide positive guidance and support.
Selected Asset Builders will be recognized during a special ceremony on June 7 at the YMCA of Eastern Ontario in Brockville and will also be highlighted through local media coverage.
Nomination forms are available online through the Every Kid in our Communities website. Organizers say the recognition program is an opportunity to shine a spotlight on those helping local youth succeed and thrive.
