The Township of Leeds and Thousand Islands Office and waste sites will be closed on Monday, May 18, 2026, in observance of Victoria Day.
As a result, curbside waste collection in the Village of Lansdowne will be delayed by one day and will take place on Tuesday, May 19 instead of the regular schedule. Township officials are reminding residents to plan accordingly for the holiday closure.
In Gananoque, Town Hall will also be closed on May 18, with regular business hours resuming Tuesday, May 19 at 8:30 a.m.
The Gananoque and 1000 Islands Visitor Centre at 10 King Street East remains open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with public washrooms available.
Officials note there are no changes to waste and recycling collection in Gananoque, which will continue on its regular Tuesday and Friday schedule.
Residents are thanked for their understanding as municipal services adjust for the Victoria Day holiday.
