A fast-approaching deadline is being highlighted for local youth interested in joining the Gananoque Police Service’s 2026 Youth in Policing Program.
Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. on May 22nd, leaving limited time for eligible candidates to apply.
The program offers paid summer employment for youth aged 15 to 18, providing hands-on experience working alongside police officers while supporting community initiatives.
Successful applicants will earn $17.20 per hour, working 40 hours per week over an eight-week period.
Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada, live in Gananoque or the Thousand Islands area, and plan to return to school in September.
Police say the program is designed to build job skills and foster community engagement.
Resumes can be submitted by email, with officials encouraging interested youth to apply before the looming deadline.
