The 2026 Ontario Town Crier Championships saw a great crowd on hand during Ottawa’s annual Tulip Festival. Criers from all over the province including Gananoque were on hand. Gananoque Town Crier Brian Mabee said overall the weekend was great.

The friendship between all who participated was great to see.
Durng his opening Cry, Mabee made everyone aware of some of the many things Gananoque has to offer our visitors.
He added that everyone was very supportive and cheering each other on during the competition. He said if you are about the beauty and colours of tulips and other flowers, this is the event to come and see. Overall his experience was a great one and looks forward to the next time he gets to represent the Town of Gananoque in a provincial championship.
