A 15-year-old youth is facing multiple charges following an alleged assault at a local business in Gananoque earlier this year.
Gananoque Police say the investigation began after a youth attended the police station on April 7 to report an incident that occurred in a bathroom at the business.
Following an investigation, officers arrested a 15-year-old youth and laid several charges, including assault, assault with a weapon, forcible confinement, uttering threats, failure to comply with sentence, and overcoming resistance by attempting to choke, suffocate or strangle another person.
Police say the accused was held in custody pending a show cause bail hearing.
Due to the age of those involved, no further details have been released.
Investigators have not provided additional information.
