The Township of Leeds and Thousand Islands is advising motorists about a temporary traffic disruption on Washburn Road due to paving work.
Township officials say single lane traffic will be in effect while crews complete hot mix paving beginning today and continuing through Thursday, May 21.
Drivers travelling through the area are being reminded to obey all traffic control signage and directions from flaggers while giving road crews and equipment plenty of space to work safely.
Officials note the schedule remains dependent on weather conditions and resource availability, meaning timelines could change if needed.
Specific start and end times for the lane reduction have not yet been confirmed.
The Township says the work is part of ongoing road maintenance efforts aimed at improving local infrastructure and driving conditions.
Residents with questions about the project are encouraged to contact Manager of Roads and Fleet Aaron Hatton through the Township office 613-659-2415 ext. 234.
