City Cruises Canada is once again bringing fireworks cruises to Gananoque this summer, offering residents and visitors a unique way to celebrate both Canada Day and Independence Day on the St. Lawrence River.
Two special cruises will depart from Gananoque during the holiday season. The Canada Day Fireworks Cruise on July 1 is a two-hour experience departing at 8 p.m., travelling through the Admiralty and Navy Island groups before giving passengers a close-up view of the fireworks display beginning around 9:45 p.m.
The Independence Day Fireworks Cruise on July 4 will offer an extended four-hour trip departing at 7:30 p.m. The cruise includes views of the St. Lawrence Seaway, Boldt Castle, and the 1000 Islands International Bridge.
Both cruises will feature onboard refreshments, including wine, beer, cocktails, and snacks.
Officials say the holiday cruises are expected to sell out quickly, with advance booking strongly encouraged for anyone planning to attend the seasonal celebrations.
