The Town of Gananoque is celebrating recognition as one of Ontario’s Age Friendly Communities following acknowledgement during the recent Rural Ontario Municipal Association Conference.
On Tuesday, Mayor John Beddows and members of council formally recognized and thanked the Gananoque PROBUS Club and the Gananoque Seniors Association for their ongoing support and advocacy for seniors in the community.
Town officials say the recognition highlights the efforts made to help older residents remain active, connected, and supported within Gananoque.
Council praised the volunteer work and dedication shown by local organizations that continue providing programs, activities, and social opportunities for seniors across the community.
