The Ontario SPCA Leeds and Grenville is launching a new push to build shelters for feral cats as the number of strays rises each spring across the region.
The project encourages local businesses, volunteer groups, schools and community organizations to work together with the Ontario SPCA to build outdoor shelters that can give feral cats a safer place to stay.
With more, here’s Katelyn Stojadinov.
The Leeds and Grenville branch is following the lead of other Ontario SPCA locations across the province that have already seen positive results from similar programs.
Stojadinov also talked about the plan once the shelters are built.
Anyone interested in helping with a shelter build can contact the Ontario SPCA Leeds and Grenville centre by phone at 613-345-5520 or by email at leedsgrenville@ontariospca.ca.
