Funds raised through raffle ticket sales at the 2026 NENA Ontario Conference are providing support to victim services agencies in Kingston and Leeds and Grenville.
Organizers say proceeds from the conference raffle, combined with a $200 donation from Thousand Islands Guardian Pharmacy, resulted in a total donation of $500 to Victim Services of Leeds & Grenville.
The cheque was presented by Carole Steacy, a member of the 2026 NENA conference committee and Gananoque Police Service, to Aly Hoover, who serves as youth outreach worker and anti-human trafficking public educator.
“These funds will help support the GPS Tracker Program, as well as provide safety items to clients. Please extend our sincere gratitude to Thousand Islands Guardian Pharmacy and NENA Ontario,” said Cecilia Clapson, Executive Director of Victim Services of Leeds & Grenville.
Representatives involved say the initiative highlights strong collaboration between emergency services, community partners, and local businesses working together to support vulnerable individuals across the region.
