City Cruises Canada is welcoming visitors to a newly renovated Ivy Lea port as tourism season ramps up across the 1000 Islands region.
The project, completed over the past 18 months, includes major upgrades aimed at improving accessibility, comfort, and the overall guest experience along the St. Lawrence River waterfront. Improvements include a brand-new dock, upgraded washroom facilities, and a new ticket booth with integrated retail space.
The Ivy Lea site also now features a new food trailer and fully licensed outdoor patio at the Upper Deck Patio area, creating an expanded waterfront destination for both cruise passengers and visitors looking to enjoy the scenery.
“This investment reflects our commitment to creating an exceptional experience from the moment guests arrive at the port to the moment they step off the boat,” says Lisa Medulun, vice-president of operations for City Cruises Canada, and project manager of the Ivy Lea port renovation. “The 1000 Islands region continues to attract visitors from across Ontario, Canada and beyond, and these upgrades ensure our Ivy Lea location can continue to meet that demand while delivering a more modern and welcoming experience.”
The renovated port has already been operating in a soft-launch phase, with an official grand opening celebration planned for June 5 through 7.
Operating from Ivy Lea, City Cruises offers sightseeing tours including the One-Hour 1000 Islands Cruise and the Two Castle Cruise featuring views of Boldt Castle and Singer Castle.
